Lifehacker has posted an interesting piece on how long your hard drive might last.
From the article: “The good news is, 80% of hard drives last at least four years. The bad news is 20% of them don’t.”
This is as good of a time as any to remind you to keep good, recent backups of your data. Having a backup is just good policy because, as this piece shows us, it’s not a question of if your hard drive will fail – it’s a question of when.
